I have submitted my application form, when will I find out if I have been shortlisted?
Applicants will receive an email to let them know if they have been shortlisted.
I missed the deadline, is it too late to enter?
Yes. Any applications submitted after 23.59 on the 20th of May will not be considered for Venture Candy.
My image isn't uploading, why?
Your images must be fairly small in size, we recommend around 1mb. Your image must also be a jpg file format.
I have applied to Venture Candy, will my idea be treated with confidentiality?
Venture Candy is solely about supporting, promoting and investing in businesses.
The information you supply will be shared with the panel for the purposes of selecting the finalists.
The panelists may also contact applicants directly if they wish to offer independent investment in your business.
Applicants who have agreed to allow us to contact them can also be kept up to date on Venture Candy news as well as any partner information, products or services we feel may be relevant to their venture.
I was not successful, can I find out why?
I am afraid we have had thousands of applications to Venture Candy - all of a very high a competitive standard. Unfortunately we cannot feed back on each business individually. If your business did not make the shortlist this time, we very much hope you will support our shortlisted entries this year and we will keep posted on your next opportunity to enter.
When can I vote?
The shortlist will be announced in Metro newspaper and online at / around 20th July, stay posted for more information on the ventures as well as details on how to vote online or via text.
When will the winners be announced?
The winners will be announced in the paper and online shortly after the voting period.

I am getting an error on Step 3 to complete 'Stage', what should I do?
'Stage' refers to the first part of Step 3 - telling us what stage you are at. You must select one of the three options before trying to continue with your application form.
